Since 2006, the EN 15038 standard has provided more transparency in the implementation of translations. Translation agencies that work in accordance with this standard, are obliged, among other things, to complete a detailed analysis of the project in advance and to create a quote using this analysis. In addition, all translations must be proofread by a second translator and all work must be documented. Thus, the client receives a good overview of the implementation of the translation and the incurred costs.
At Cruz Communications, every request we receive is analysed with regard to requirements and feasibility, and the client receives a free quote including an exact delivery date and a detailed breakdown of the costs. A second translator will only proofread the translation at the request of the client.
Cruz Communications is not yet certified in accordance with this directive, however, we already work with a clear, transparent process management in accordance with this standard.
Besides the very high certification costs, there is another good reason why are not yet certified: In our opinion, proofreading by a second translator doesn’t just benefit the client by ensuring the quality of the translation, it also results in an additional expenditure of time and, more importantly, costs. Which is why, after extensive consultation, we let the client decide. In our offer we will inform you of the opportunities and the prices and delivery dates for all variants.
